Generations

Caged souls and scattered minds.
Poured with dangerous distractions,
Mixed with vexed verses of speech.

Mutilating the masses
Slowly cremating the classes.

Doomed beyond repair,
It's too late to know what happens

Torment

Why won't these walls talk back..
I yell and shout, yet they stare at me, acting confused.
I know what they're up to.
My head explodes constantly. I try to paint what the voices say with my blood,
But I can never understand what exactly they want.
This abyss behind my ribs rage and conflict.
Darkness seeps from my stomach, spewing out my lips.
What a paradox.
I'm trapped inside a trapped house while my insides are trapped inside me,
They squirm and wiggle and fight to be free.
If this prison even exists, I can't escape it.
I wish I could fake it.
But this blood beneath my skin is boiling and my throat is hoarse from screaming.
I can't stop cheating.
My hinged jaw sways in the silence.
My lungs are being spread apart.
Help me before they take me and strip my heart

Always

Something let go of my ribs tonight..
When did my heart beat so vividly?

Something took it's last breath between my lungs tonight..
When did air taste so heavenly?

Something froze behind my eyes..
When did the world become so beautiful?

Something blanketed my body tight..
Why can't reality actually feel real?

                     I'm sure of it..

Something died inside of my mind..
Who knew love could be so gracious?

Vacant

We are poured out like water..
Our tongues cling to our jaws
As we fall to dirt.

Our thoughts bounce from the echoing of our crashing bodies.
Souls are formed, purpose is made.
Every bone, out of joint.
Every voice, a drowning lake.

Love makes a nest inside our mouths,
Waiting for us to breathe.

Our hollow corpses ache,
Causing our minds to bleed.
There is no other place.
So for that; we must leave.

A Walk through the Park

Trees push through as stretching fingers.
Spots of grass are left as hair.
And benches serve as eyebrows.

Lakes hold the thoughts of a thousand thinkers.
Ideas bounce between ripples of air.
-Rare tranquility.

A foreign world,
Remembered steps.
The largeness seeds humility.

Leaves fall with each breath,
A wonder to witness.
Your soul takes a piece with it-

Stealing what's left.

Flames

Echoing hands are placed among the soul.
Leaving fingerprints of longing,
And a hunger to be whole.

Swimming in the dark abyss called a womb,
The cold sparks a flame inside our veins.

A desire to burn for something.
Hardly quenchable, but not invincible.

It sustains through all pain,
With no house or settlement.
The only weakness is negligence.

Living here since our existence.
The flames first fell from the eyelashes of life.
Drenched with deafening peace and delight.

Something so powerful, so easily forgotten.
A world rarely talked about when seen,
Yet wished for from days and years and in-between.

Possessed within us all, passed away beneath the walls,
Ready to ignite.
There's no more need for night.

Ladders

The heart caves in,
Splattering onto the canvas.
Over spilling into pools of discolored happiness.
Being washed away by souls within each rain drop.
Screaming and swearing as they hit their spot.
It's being consumed by the whispers of the haunting ghosts.
Then regurgitated into processed letters of hope.
Stumbling blocks for when the heart can't cope
